Who Can Find You?

“Again, the kingdom of heaven is like unto a merchant man, seeking goodly pearls: Who, when he had found one pearl of great price, went and sold all that he had, and bought it.” Matthew 13:45-46

When someone abuses you, they don’t see what God sees in you. When someone disrespects you, they don’t see what God sees in you. And to be truthful, if you allow the abuse and the disrespect, you don’t see what God sees in you.

The Bible says, “Who can find a virtuous woman? for her price is far above rubies” (see Proverbs 31:10). This Scripture is not merely focusing on the woman, but on the kind of man it takes to find this kind of woman. It takes a certain kind of guy to find you, see you and love you.

You’re asking, “Why won’t he love me?” Well, he’s not looking for a pearl, he’s looking for a good time. When you’re desperate to be loved or afraid to be alone, this will only attract heartbreak.

Receive God’s love. Lose yourself in Him. Let God show you who you are in Christ. Let the treasure within you enrich you. When you do this, you won’t settle for a guy that knows nothing about pearls, but you’ll wait on the one that recognizes a jewel when they see it and who knows how to treat you.
