God Has Greater In Mind

“Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believes on me, the works that I do shall he do also; and greater works than these shall he do; because I go unto my Father” John 14:12, KJV.

No weakness, insecurity, set back, or negative words spoken over you are strong enough to stop God’s great and preordained plans for your life. When He called you, He already knew every mistake you were going to make and every giant you would have to face.

You’ve been called for such a time as this. There is a reason you survived when others around you didn’t. There’s reason you are still standing and are still here.

Receive in your heart God’s great plans for your life and the great work He has called you to do, even if you can’t fully wrap your mind around it. Just know that He is preparing you for greater.

Greater levels of faith, greater operations of the gifts of the Spirit, greater manifestations of healing and power, greater knowledge and awareness of who He is, and a greater deeper walk with Him.

Just Say, Yes Lord

“Before I formed you in the womb I knew you, before you were born I set you apart; I appointed you as a prophet to the nations.” Jeremiah 1:5

Before you were born, God chose you, called you, and separated you for His use. His hand is on your life. Even if you tried to run away from your purpose like Jonah, God will find you and speak to you. Even if you did something you’re terribly ashamed of and walked away from it all like Moses, God will find you and speak to you. He will find you wherever you are. You may not want to be chosen. You may not want to be called. You may not want to be separated for His use, but the truth is, the decision is not up to you. God calls whom He calls. He chooses whom He chooses. He anoints whom He anoints.
I’ve learned by now to just say, yes Lord.

Is it really that hard to just say yes to God? Yes to His plan? Yes to His way? Yes to His calling on your life? You’re His daughter and He’s your heavenly Father. Even when you don’t understand what He’s doing, just say, “Yes, Lord.” Have a submissive spirit to God. You don’t have to understand everything. You don’t have to know everything. Just trust Him because He loves you.

A Comeback

“And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose” Romans 8:28, NIV

There are no shortcuts in the process in which God has to take us through in order to mature us spiritually. There may be some acceleration due to our faithfulness of embracing the process, but definitely no shortcuts.

You might have experienced what some people call “setbacks”, but they are really “set ups”.  The enemy’s intention is to “set you back” from keeping the faith, serving God, loving others, and believing in His purpose and plan for your life, etc.

But God’s intention is to “set you up” for a deeper level of intimacy and dependency, a deeper level of trust and hope, and a deeper level of self-examination and humility.

So don’t despise the trails and tribulations, because they’re part of the “process” that you must undergo in order to be polished into a useful vessel for the Lord.

When you are weak, He is strong.

Hey S.P.O.T.Light!  Here is a devotional for tonight..

“But he said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.” Therefore I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ’s power may rest on me”- 2 Corinthians 12:9

God’s strength is made perfect in our weakness. So there’s no need for us to ever pretend that we’re not weak and needy of Him. Let Him be your strength. Let Him give you the spiritual boost you need to go on.

Thank the Lord that He hears the faintest cries and He lifts us up. He is a good God who is faithful to give us the grace and strength we need right when we need it. Pour out your heart to Him and let Him renew your strength today.

When you are weak, my friend, He is strong.
