Happy Valentine's Day!!!!

    Hey SPOTLIGHT girls, Happy Valentine's Day!!

Now we all know Valentine's Day is a day to celebrate love..whether you're single or in a relationship, or whether you're you celebrate it or not.

But who says today is only for couples?? Love is all around us.  Whether it's in our friendships, relationships, or in our families, we all have the special people in our lives who we care deeply for.  {And let's not forget our one true love, Jesus Christ}. This day can be a day to celebrate with any of our loved ones, whoever they may be, and really appreciate them for being such a special part of our lives.

    So, here's my challenge for you today.  Our parents, whether you want to admit it or not, have been a significant part of our lives. {I mean, duh, they did help make us}.  They not only helped raise us, but at some point or another, they probably had at least some influence in the type of person that we are today. I'm sure we can stop and think of all the many things that our parents have done for us.  

I challenge you to show some type of appreciation to your parents before the end of the day.  Whether it's a Valentine's Day card, flowers, candy, bear, or even a simple phone call, show them how much you love and care about them.  When you're done, post a comment telling us about their reaction or post a picture from that moment.

So go ahead ladies, go show your folks some love!!

Welcome!!

Hey SPOTLIGHT Girls!

    You're probably asking yourselves, "What is this and why am I on here?"                                           

Well, we realized that it is becoming increasing difficult to meet every Sunday, since it seems that everyone has a lot of their own things going on.  So, we decided to create this blog site make up for the days that we don't meet.  We'll still meet up in person, but it will mostly be when we have our special events, parties, and trips.                                                                                                                              



    What exactly will be posted on here?? What's the purpose of this blog anyway??
This website is mainly for you girls.  On here, we will be....

~Bringing up topics and themes for discussion
~Posting words of encouragement
~Discussing the current book we're reading
~Giving challenges for everyone to try
~Opening up an advice column to share tips and ideas
~Planning our events and trips
~Giving you ladies a platform to speak your minds and share your opinions

..And most of all, we want to use this as a way to strengthen and grow this union of bright ladies.  Like we mentioned earlier, this blog site is for you all.  Use this as a way to let your voice be heard.  You never know, whatever you say could end up having a positive impact on someone else.  

We only ask that you all keep the negative comments toward each other to a bare minimum, please.  Spread love and light!!
